You are invited to a Blackfish Pub Fundraiser Party

You are invited to a Blackfish Pub Fundraiser Party

NOVEMBER 10, 2010   BLACKFISH PUB, GIBSONS  5:30 pm to 8:30pm

featuring:  Beer and Burger for $15 ($5 goes the GWA), Silent Auction, Live Music, Wharf presentation (past, present and future)

The GRANTHAMS WHARF ASSOCIATION (GWA) is having a fundraiser party.  The pride of our community (the Wharf) is showing it's age and needs to have parts: replaced, restored and re-invigorated.  To do so we need to raise money and interest and we would like to ask for your participation.  Our 2 year goal is to raise $20,000 in donations and in kind support.  To start this fundraising effort we are having a party at the Blackfish Pub.

The Blackfish Pub Fundraiser Party goals are:

1) to raise $ to rebuild the aging floats in the spring
2) to show the community our vision for the Wharf
3) to get support with materials and skills for our building efforts
4) use the wharf as a focus to build on the vibrant, awesome community we live in.

We would like to encourage you to:

1) Come to the Fundraiser
2) Buy a bunch of Beer and Burger tickets

4) Support the SIlent Auction
5) Check out our Vision for the Wharf
6) Have a great time and support us GWA volunteers as we rebuild the wharf which has anchored our community since 1909!

Check out granthamslanding.blogspot.com for updates on the above

Thank you

Mark in Action!

Mark Giltrow in Action! Not only has he been keeping the wharf together all summer he has also been cleaning up the sea floor underneath the wharf with his home made diving rig. A few of his historic treasures from when the steamships recycling was to toss used bottles and plates overboard.

Silent Auction Donation

Martin Ouellette of Imagine Woodworking, and a resident of Elphinstone Ave. has been very generous and has made a great bench that he has donated to the upcoming GWA Silent Auction to be held at the Blackfish Pub on Nov. 1oth. It has a retail value of $800.

We will bring the bench to the GWA Beer and Burger fundraiser for all to see and bid on if interested!
